COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Christmas trees may be long gone, but their essence can now live on in our yards.

Starting at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, and until supplies last, mulch made from recycled Christmas trees is available at two locations in the Columbia area.

Keep the Midlands Beautiful says anyone who wants some of the mulch can pick it up at the State Farmers Market in West Columbia or at Seven Oaks Park.

Volunteers will be onsite to help, and a backhoe will be available.
