BOSTON (AP) - The Boston Red Sox have reached one-year agreements with first baseman-outfielder Mike Carp, right-hander Junichi Tazawa and infielder Jonathan Herrera.

The deals Friday kept the players out of salary arbitration.

Carp hit .296 with nine home runs and 43 RBIs in his first season with Boston. His contract is for $1.4 million, up from $508,500 last year.

Tazawa went 5-4 with a 3.16 ERA in 71 appearances, then pitched in 13 of 16 postseason games for the World Series champions. He’ll make $1,275,000 after earning $815,000 last year.

Herrera was acquired from Colorado last December. He hit .292 with one homer and 16 RBIs in 81 games. He’ll get $1.3 million, up from $900,000.

Lefty Andrew Miller is the only player in arbitration for Boston. He asked for $2.15 million and the Red Sox offered $1.55 million.
