RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Virginia legislators and visitors to the Capitol can expect a strong military presence for at least one day.

Members of the Virginia Army National Guard, Virginia Air National Guard and Virginia Defense Force will be on hand with equipment displays outside the General Assembly Building on Wednesday. The idea is to demonstrate some of the capabilities the Virginia Guard and the Defense Force can provide while on active duty in the state.

The adjutant general of Virginia will host a reception for legislators, and senior Virginia Guard leaders will be there to answer questions about the missions and capabilities of the Guard.
