HARRISBURG, Va. (AP) - Scott Eatherton scored 14 points and grabbed 11 boards as Northeastern held on to beat James Madison 56-52 Wednesday night.

David Walker and Demetrius Pollard each added 12 points for the Huskies (5-13, 2-2 Colonial Athletic Association). Reggie Spencer chipped in six points and eight rebounds.

The Huskies shot 45.5 percent from the field overall and 52.2 percent from the line.

An early Eatherton 3-pointer helped Northeastern go 13-5 to start the first period and lead by 10, 33-23, at the break.

But the Huskies hit only 7 buckets in the low-scoring second period, allowing James Madison to come within one point with two minutes left. A Pollard jumper and three Walker free throws in the final minute helped keep the Huskies on top for the win.

James Madison was just 19 of 51 from the field overall. Andre Nation led the Dukes (6-12, 1-3) with 16 points.
