LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti has visited a woman who was struck by a car in which he was riding - and says he wished her a speedy recovery.
Garcetti was being driven back to City Hall in a Police Department SUV on Tuesday afternoon when it hit 60-year-old Juliet Nicolas.
She wasn’t seriously hurt but remains hospitalized.
In a statement, the mayor says he met with the woman on Wednesday morning at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center. Garcetti says they had a nice conversation and he’s pleased that she’s in good spirits.
