PORT ANGELES, Wash. (AP) - A Port Angeles man who shot a neighbor to death was sentence Tuesday to 10 years in prison.

Sixty-year-old Bobby “B.J.” Smith was convicted of second-degree murder in the October shooting of 63-year-old Robert Fowler.

The Peninsula Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/1kC7vde) Smith felt Fowler had threatened him with a knife, but a jury rejected his self-defense argument. Prosecutors say Smith fired two shots into Fowler’s head as he lay on the floor.
