TAKOMA PARK, Md. (AP) - Two women’s groups are endorsing Delegate Heather Mizeur in her bid for the Democratic nomination for governor.

The Washington Post reports (https://wapo.st/1cfJsXk) that the Maryland chapter of the National Organization for Women and the national group Feminist Majority endorsed Mizeur on Monday.

Mizeur, the only woman at the top of a gubernatorial ticket for governor in Maryland this year, has already won an endorsement from EMILY’s List, a national organization known for helping female pro-abortion rights candidates raise money.

Mizeur faces Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown and Attorney General Doug Gansler in the Democratic primary in June.
