LOVELL, Wyo. (AP) - A tractor-trailer crash has spilled some 2,500 gallons of hot oil near Lovell.

The driver was treated at a hospital and released but was cited for driving too fast for the weather conditions at the time.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol says the crash happened at about 9:45 Tuesday morning on Wyoming Highway 310 five miles south of Lovell. The tractor-trailer was also pulling a pup trailer when the combination went off the road.

The truck and main tank trailer rolled over, spilling oil on the highway right-of-way. The pup trailer disconnected but didn’t roll over.

The Highway Patrol says the spill doesn’t threaten any water sources or waterways but cleanup could take several days.

The oil was loaded at a Billings, Mont., refinery and was headed to Salt Lake City.
