Casey Anthony’s clothing and items have hit an auction block of sorts, making an appearance on a “murderabilia” website that offers for sale a slew of things that have belonged to accused or convicted killers.
Eric Holler, the owner of serialkillersink.net, told a local news station in Orlando, Fla., that he bought the items from Christina Werner, a woman who secretly videotaped last year’s garage sale at the home of Miss Anthony’s parents.
The site has an entire section devoted to Miss Anthony’s stuff, even though she was never convicted of murder. Miss Anthony was arrested and charged with killing her 2-year-old daughter Caylee in 2008, but was acquitted of the girl’s death three years later. She was convicted of providing false information to police.
Mr. Holler said he gives buyers a “certificate of authenticity” for each item, which are currently selling for $800 apiece, the station reported.
“I’m catering to supply and demand,” Mr. Holler said, adding that he would not buy or sell daughter Caylee’s toys, indicating that would cross an ethical line.
His site touts items related to other high-profile murder cases, including Charles Manson, John Wayne Gacy and David Berkowitz.
