PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - Celebrity lawyer F. Lee Bailey is continuing his fight to practice law in Maine.
A lawyer for Bailey and the Board of Bar Examiners will make their arguments to the state supreme court on Tuesday.
A single justice previously ruled that Bailey was unfit to practice law, but then reversed himself. The Board of Bar Examiners appealed to the full state supreme court to prevent him from getting a law license.
The 80-year-old Bailey already passed the Maine bar.
Bailey, whose high-profile clients have included O.J. Simpson and Patty Hearst, was previously licensed in Massachusetts and Florida but was disbarred in those states for mishandling $6 million worth of stock for a client. He now lives in Yarmouth, Maine.
