U.S. participants in a poll of who is the most admired person in the world put Hillary Rodham Clinton on the list — but she came in tenth, well behind George W. Bush and even notable conservative radio head Rush Limbaugh.
The survey was conducted by YouGov.com in Great Britain, Australia, Brazil, China, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Nigeria, Pakistan and Russia, with a sample size of 13,895 Internet and mobile phone users.
On the world’s list, Mrs. Clinton ranks No. 27. But among votes that come solely from the United States, she ranks tenth with 1.68 percent of the vote, YouGov.com reported.
Heading up the U.S. list, in order: Pope Francis, Barack Obama, Billy Graham, George W. Bush, Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, the Dalai Lama, Bill Clinton and Rush Limbaugh.
Fully 2.22 percent of respondents picked Mr. Limbaugh over Mrs. Clinton, the survey showed.
Worldwide, participants’ top choice was Bill Gates with 10.10 percent, followed by Mr. Obama with 9.27 percent.
