RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Paul Whelan has been named editor of the Richmond Times-Dispatch’s electronic edition.

The newspaper announced Whelan’s appointment as editor of TimesDispatch.com on Monday.

Whelan has worked at the newspaper since 2000 in several positions, including Weekend section editor, deputy features editor, deputy presentation editor and design team leader.

He worked as a page designer and copy editor at the Lynchburg News & Advance and the Palm Beach Post before he joined the Times-Dispatch.
