At least 6 civilians were killed and 13 others wounded after a car bomb exploded on a commercial street in northern Baghdad Monday.
The attack comes as U.N. chief Ban Ki-moon is visiting in Iraq to “address the root causes” of escalated violence in the area as al Qaeda militants battle government forces and allied tribal leaders for control in the mainly Sunni Anbar province west of the capital, the Associated Press reported.
Iraq officials said those killed were civilians and 13 people also were wounded.
