PEORIA, Ill. (AP) - Eighteen Bradley University students will be working as NBC interns during the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia, next month.

College officials say the network conducted on-campus interviews last March. The Bradley students were in competition with students from Syracuse University and Ithaca College, both in New York.

Ten Bradley students earned internships with NBC for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London.

College communications chair Paul Gullifor says the school is grateful for the partnership with the network, which gives students an “extraordinary opportunity.”

Students will be departing for their posts between the end of January and early February.

Some students will travel to Sochi while others will work on behind-the-scenes production jobs in Stamford, Conn.
