WACO, Texas (AP) - There was no comeback bid by No. 12 Oklahoma State against No. 7 Baylor this time.

And the Cowgirls couldn’t again hold down guard Odyssey Sims, the nation’s leading scorer.

Sims scored 33 points while making 14 of 19 shots and Baylor clinched its 14th consecutive 20-win season with an 81-64 victory Sunday.

Sims was held to a season-low 17 points against the Cowgirls just two weeks ago. She was 7-of-27 shooting without making a 3-pointer on eight chances from beyond the arc in 42 minutes in that game, but converted a three-point play with 3.8 seconds left in overtime for a 69-66 win.

“She missed some shots at our place. We feel like we did a good job on her. We packed it a little bit more,” Oklahoma State coach Jim Littell said. ” Then (Makenzie) Robertson killed us up there. We decided we weren’t going to let somebody else kill us. Then you don’t help as much. And she’s too difficult to guard. It’s kind of pick your poison at times. “

Freshman Nina Davis both finished with 15 points and Robertson, Baylor’s other senior starter, had 11. Niya Johnson had 12 assists and Davis nine rebounds.

Robertson, who had six 3-pointers including the overtime-forcing shot two weeks ago at Stillwater, Okla., had eight points and Sims seven in a 17-4 run over a 5-minute spurt in the first half that put the Lady Bears (20-3, 10-1 Big 12) ahead to stay Sunday.

Liz Donohoe had 22 points for Oklahoma State (19-4, 8-4). Tiffany Bias and Kendra Suttles each had 11 points while Brittney Martin had 14 rebounds.

Baylor has won 33 consecutive conference home games. They have won six in a row overall since their first consecutive losses in four years.

“Obviously this is a very difficult place to play,” Littell said. “I’ve said since early in the season that Odyssey Sims is the best player in the country, and I think she showed that tonight. … She’s just a special player. We did a much better job on her up at Stillwater. That was why the game was close at the end. We’re giving up too many points now, but when they get on a roll, it started snowballing on us in a hurry. “

There were five lead changes in the first 8½ minutes of the game. The sixth - and last - came when Robertson made the first of consecutive 3-pointers.

Robertson had six 3-pointers in the previous game against the Cowgirls.

Davis had a layup that got Baylor to 21-19, then Robertson hit 3s on the next two Baylor possessions. Sims then scored the next seven Baylor points, on a jumper, two free throws and a 3-pointer.

“I just went into the game and I was just very focused. My goal is not to score 30 points every game,” Sims said. “I just have the ball the majority of the time, but I was just making my shots today. I don’t know what it was.”

When Davis converted a three-point play soon after halftime, the Lady Bears had a 47-32 lead.

In the game at Stillwater, the Lady Bears had a 16-point lead early in the second half before Oklahoma State rallied to go ahead. Robertson’s 3-pointer with 6 seconds left in the regulation forced overtime.

This time, the Cowboys trailed by 10 at halftime and their deficit grew to a season-high 25 points.
