SALEM, Ore. (AP) - The Speaker of the House’s office says the state Capitol is planning to reopen at 8 a.m. Monday.

House Speaker Tina Kotek announced Sunday that a number of morning committee meetings and the House floor session are being postponed to ensure the safety of people traveling to Salem.

Her office says the house floor session will convene briefly at 4:45 p.m. in order to advance legislative business, but will not hold any floor votes.

Committees scheduled for 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Monday will meet as planned.
