BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Tim Williams had 21 points, 12 rebounds, four blocks and three steals as Samford knocked off Southern Conference leader Chattanooga 92-85 in overtime Saturday night.

Connor Miller hit a 3-pointer and Tyler Hood scored, giving Samford an 82-77 lead with 2:05 to play in overtime. Chattanooga pulled within two points on Gee McGee’s trey, but Samford closed on a 10-5 run to seal it.

Williams had three defensive rebounds, two blocks and two points in overtime, and finished on 10-of-12 shooting from the field.

Chattanooga’s Z. Mason scored with 31 seconds remaining to tie it at 77. Mason then blocked Tim Williams’ potential game-winning shot with 2 seconds left to send the game into overtime.

Isaiah Williams added 20 points and five assists for Samford (11-15, 5-6).

McGhee scored 21 points to lead Chattanooga (15-11, 9-2). The Mocs entered the game tied for the conference lead with Davidson.
