COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Volunteers are scheduled to pick up litter from streets in highways in the Midlands.

On Saturday, Keep the Midlands Beautiful is doing Adopt-A-Highway and Adopt-A-Street Cleanup. Volunteers are fanning out around Lexington and Richland counties, as well as the City of Columbia.

Cleanup crews will be wearing orange vests, and organizers ask anyone driving near the volunteers to slow down.

If it rains on Saturday, the cleanup will be pushed back to Feb. 15.
