Charlie Crist, the former Florida GOP governor who is seeking his old post as a Democrat, accused Republican Gov. Rick Scott Friday of letting people die.
Mr. Crist said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that Mr. Scott’s decision to move away from Medicaid expansion under Obamacare has left roughly a million Floridians without health care. Mr. Scott is a Republican.
“That means that six people in Florida die everyday as a result of that,” Mr. Crist said.
Asked whether he is saying that people are dying because of Mr. Scott’s decision, Mr. Crist answered, “That’s right.”
“It is not hard to figure out,” he said. “It’s common sense.”
