PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - The National Weather Service is warning that roads across Rhode Island may still be slippery after a storm that dumped up to 9 inches of snow and sleet in the state.

The Weather Service says black ice could last into Thursday morning’s commute.

Cranston schools are opening one hour late as the storm cleanup continues. No other public school delays or closings are reported.

Nearly all flights at T.F. Green Airport in Warwick are reported to be on time. Two morning departing flights to Newark and Cleveland have been cancelled.

National Grid says there are no power outages.

The Weather Service says the storm dropped 9 inches of snow and sleet in Glocester and Burrillville, 7 inches in Cumberland and Woonsocket and 6 inches in the Providence area.
