“The Ragin’ Cajun” is heading to Fox News.

The network announced Thursday that Democratic strategist James Carville has been hired as a contributor.

“James’ successful and storied career in politics over several decades is an enormous asset to Fox News. We are privileged to have him lend his breadth of experience, wit and dynamic perspective on the network,” said Bill Shine, Executive Vice President of Programming for the network.

Mr. Carville was the lead strategist for former President Bill Clinton’s successful presidential campaign in 1992. He went on to become a senior political adviser before then hosting CNN’s “Crossfire” from 2002 until 2005. He is currently a political science professor at Tulane University.
