Mia Talerico, a 5-year-old who played the main role of Charlie on the recently canceled Disney Channel production “Good Luck Charlie,” was the target of several recent online death threats, police said.
The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating, spokesman Andrew Smith said to CNN. Officers aren’t disclosing details about the threats, only referring to the investigation as “very sensitive,” Mr. Smith said.
Disney wouldn’t issue a comment, either.
“Good Luck Charlie” ran for 100 episodes before it was canceled. The show generated controversy in its final production because of its feature of a lesbian couple as one set of parents — a Disney Channel first.
