ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) - A winter storm has delayed a lecture by a University of Michigan medical researcher and administrator who studies lung diseases at the cellular level.
Organizers say the Wednesday evening talk by Steven Kunkel in the Kahn Auditorium of the Ann Arbor university’s biomedical science research building will be rescheduled to an undetermined date. He was to be part of the school’s Health Science Lecture Series.
Kunkel’s lecture is titled “Bugs, inflammation and epigenetics: How pathogens control our immune response.”
Kunkel is senior associate dean for research and a pathology research professor at the university’s medical school.
The series is designed for the general public and the next generation of researchers to hear the university’s leading scientists. It’s sponsored by the A. Alfred Taubman Medical Research Institute.
