MOUNT VERNON, Va. (AP) - The author of a book about George Washington’s Mount Vernon estate will be talking about the book at the famous home.
Author and art historian Joseph Manca will speak at Mount Vernon’s newly completed library on Friday. Manca’s book, “George Washington’s Eye: Landscape, Architecture, and Design at Mount Vernon” came out in August 2012 and is based on a study of Washington’s personal diaries and correspondence.
The talk is free and will be held at Mount Vernon’s Fred W. Smith National Library for the Study of George Washington, which opened in September.
