MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - Two conservative groups are going to host an inaugural “Freedom Summit” in New Hampshire in April to exchange ideas on the nation’s economy, featuring Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, former House speaker Newt Gingrich, real estate mogul Donald Trump, and others.

The event hosted by Citizens United and Americans for Prosperity Foundation is scheduled for Saturday, April 12, in Manchester.

A website description of the event says it “aims to bring grassroots activists from across New Hampshire to hear directly from national conservative leaders on the eve of tax day.”

Americans for Prosperity President Tim Phillips said the summit will give people an opportunity to “compare and contrast the direction in which our country is headed and how their tax dollars are being spent.”
