HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) - A Kentucky man will spend a month in prison for failing to pay more than $248,000 in federal employment taxes.

Christopher Hutchinson of Ashland, Ky., also must spend three years on supervised release after he completes his sentence and make full restitution to the Internal Revenue Service.

Hutchinson pleaded guilty in October 2013 to failing to pay federal employment taxes. He was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court in Huntington.

U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin’s office says Hutchinson owned and operated at least 10 different electrical and security businesses in the Ashland and Huntington areas from 1990 to 2012.
