ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich. (AP) - Bond has been raised for a 59-year-old Detroit area woman charged in the dismemberment of her adult son’s corpse.

Macomb County Prosecutor Eric Smith says a judge increased Donna Scrivo’s bond to $250,000 Tuesday after it was discovered she was not truthful about her finances.

St. Clair Shores District Judge Mark Fratarcangeli set bond Monday at $100,000 during Scrivo’s arraignment. Smith says his office filed an emergency motion Tuesday on the bond.

Smith says Scrivo’s St. Clair Shores home is valued at $150,000. He also says she received $175,000 this summer in insurance payments and withdrew $8,100 four days before her arrest last week.

Scrivo is charged with mutilating and illegally removing a corpse.

Bags containing Ramsay Scrivo’s body parts were dumped last week along roadsides in St. Clair County.
