Last week: Kevin Stadler won the Phoenix Open for his first PGA Tour title, beating Bubba Watson and Graham DeLaet by a stroke. Stadler and father Craig will become the first father-son duo to play in the same Masters.

Notes: Mickelson won the event in 1998, 2005, 2007 and 2012. He tied for 42nd last week in the Phoenix Open, a week after back pain forced him to withdraw after two rounds at Torrey Pines. … Dustin Johnson won in 2009 and 2010. … The final round will be played at Pebble Beach. … The Northern Trust Open is next week at Riviera in Los Angeles, followed by the World Golf Championships-Match Play Championship in Marana, Ariz.

Course: The Old Course at Broken Sound (6,807 yards, par 72).

Purse: $1.6 million. Winner’s share: $240,000.

Television: Golf Channel (Friday, 12:30-2:30 p.m.; Saturday, 1-3 a.m., 3-5 p.m., 11:30 p.m.-1:30 a.m.; Sunday, 3-5 p.m.; Monday, 12:30-2:30 a.m.).

Last year: Rocco Mediate won in his first start on the 50-and-over tour, shooting 67-61-71 for a two-stroke victory.

Last event: Bernhard Langer won the season-opening Mitsubishi Electric Championship on Jan. 19 in Hawaii. He shot 66-64-64 for a three-stroke victory.

Last week: Scotland’s Stephen Gallacher successfully defended his Dubai Desert Classic title, beating Argentina’s Emiliano Grillo by a stroke. Tiger Woods tied for 41st, 10 strokes back.

Last week: South Korea’s Mi Hyang Lee won the New Zealand Women’s Open, closing with a course-record 9-under 63 to beat 16-year-old Lydia Ko by a stroke.

Notes: Webb tops the field along with 2011 winner Yani Tseng, Jessica Korda, Caroline Hedwall, Charley Hull and Vicky Hurst. … Korda won the LPGA Tour’s season-opening Bahamas LPGA Classic on Jan. 26. She won the 2012 Women’s Australian Open at Royal Melbourne. … The tours will team with the LPGA Tour next week for the Women’s Australian Open in Victoria.
