HELENA, Mont. (AP) - Carroll College is adding two intercollegiate sports to begin play this fall - men’s soccer and women’s softball.

Athletic director Bruce Parker said the additions announced Tuesday will give the NAIA school 15 sports teams. The most recent addition was men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track and field in 2011.

Carroll will join Rocky Mountain, Westminster and the University of Great Falls as the other Frontier Conference teams with men’s soccer programs. Great Falls is the only other Frontier school with a women’s softball program.

Park says the school will immediately begin searching for head coaches and setting schedules for the 2014-15 seasons. The men’s soccer team will play its home games at Nelson Stadium while the school is negotiating with the city to play the softball games at the nearby Batch Fields.
