EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Whether dying adolescents should be able to make end-of-life decisions for themselves is the subject of a symposium at Michigan State University.
The East Lansing school’s College of Law is holding the forum Friday. It runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the law college’s Castle Board Room.
The free public symposium is titled, “Living with Terminal Illness: Should Adolescent Minors Make Decisions at the End of Their Life?”
The university says it will include national and international panelists who “will discuss ethical challenges presented by a mature child’s medical decision-making power.”
