WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (AP) - Dozens of Wilkes-Barre General Hospital employees are losing their jobs.

Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems owns Commonwealth Health, which said Tuesday that about 80 workers in the Wilkes-Barre hospital’s business office will lose their jobs this spring.

The health care company said those positions are being consolidated with the regional service center in Bethlehem.

Commonwealth Health says the workers will be able to apply for open positions in the Lehigh Valley office.
