MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Gov. Scott Walker is headed to Texas for a fundraiser at the Dallas home of conservative billionaire Harlan Crow.

Walker’s campaign spokesman Jonathan Wetzel confirmed the trip on Monday.

Crow is a real estate developer and a member of the committee that created the conservative group Club for Growth.

Last year he gave Walker’s campaign $10,000. In 2012 Crow gave Walker nearly $2,400.

Walker last week reported raising $5.1 million in the last half of the year as he seeks re-election against Democrat Mary Burke. She raised $1.8 million since getting into the race in early October.

While Walker seeks re-election, his frequent trips outside of the state for fundraisers and other events have fueled speculation that he may run for president in 2016.
