TOWN OF HAMMOND, Wis. (AP) - The driver of a septic truck has died in a collision with a freight train in western Wisconsin.

The St. Croix (kroy) County sheriff’s office says the crash happened about 11 a.m. Monday at a railroad crossing in the Town of Hammond.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press (https://bit.ly/1n7HEFS ) reports the truck driver died at the scene. The sheriff’s office says no one on the train was hurt.

Sheriff John Shilts says the crossing has yield and railroad crossing signs but not have a crossing arm.

The truck driver’s name was not released. The crash remains under investigation.
