Republicans are easier to make fun of than Democrats.
That is what “Saturday Night Live” executive producer Lorne Michaels told Vulture.com.
Asked whether there are any rules for what does and does not work politically on SNL, Mr. Michaels told the website: “Republicans are easier for us than Democrats.”
“Democrats tend to take it personally; Republicans think it’s funny,” he said.
Mr. Michaels also said he is registered as an independent and Canadian-born comedian Norm McDonald is “more cranky than political.”
