A convicted quadruple murderer who broke out of jail and took a woman hostage has been sighted at an Indiana gas station, authorities said Monday.

Michael David Elliot was imprisoned at the Ionia Correctional Facility for murdering four people in 1993. He escaped Sunday and grabbed a woman, abducting her at knife point, ABC reported. She was able to escape at an Indiana gas station in Elkhart, Ind., about 130 miles from the prison, Michigan Department of Corrections spokesman Russ Marian said, to ABC.

But police are still seeking Elliot, who’s believed to be driving the woman’s car. The vehicle description: A red 2004 Jeep Liberty four-door, license plate 5FTG55, ABC reported.

Elliott, 40, has brown eyes, brown hair, and is 5-foot-8 and about 165 pounds.
