CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Gov. Maggie Hassan is scheduled to deliver her first state-of-the-state speech to New Hampshire lawmakers on Wednesday.

The freshman Democrat is finishing her first year in office. Hassan can count among her accomplishments working with a Democratically controlled House and GOP-controlled Senate to produce a bipartisan, two-year budget that most lawmakers supported.

She can count among her defeats the failure to win passage in the House of a Senate-supported casino bill that she had counted on for revenue for her budget.

Lawmakers will be considering approval of a casino again this session.
