DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Douglasville police say a woman accused of hitting and killing another woman with her vehicle has been charged with felony murder.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (https://bit.ly/1eskqts ) 23-year-old Brehonna Nicole Turner of Ellenwood is accused of striking Alexandria Wells. Douglas County coroner Randy Daniel said Wells, who was also 23, died at the scene.

Daniel said Wells died of asphyxiation when she was pinned under the car and couldn’t breathe.

Witnesses told police Turner had an argument with her ex-boyfriend at the complex and sprayed him with pepper spray around 10 p.m. Friday. Douglasville Police Chief Chris Womack said Turner then got into her vehicle to leave and hit Wells, who was standing outside.

Turner faces charges of felony murder and aggravated assault. It wasn’t clear whether she had a lawyer.
