MINERAL, Va. (AP) - One reactor at Dominion Virginia Power’s North Anna power station is shut down following a pump malfunction.

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission says the control room staff initiated a manual shutdown of Unit 2 after the reactor’s main feedwater pump shut down at 8:59 a.m. Sunday.

The commission says Unit 1 wasn’t affected and continues to operate at full power.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch (https://bit.ly/Mq9Msv ) reports that Unit 2 will remain shut down while the commission and Dominion investigation the pump malfunction.
