Just as the first lady promised, President Obama and Vice President Joseph R. Biden showed off their “Let’s Move” moves on Friday, hitting the hallways of the White House wearing shirts, ties and dress pants for a quick run.

Mrs. Obama said during a recent appearance on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” that if enough Americans showed off their exercise moves on Twitter, then the president and vice president would give them a show of their own exercise routines.

That promise was realized via a video of the top two executives jogging about the White House, swilling loads of water, Politico reported.

Mrs. Obama promoted the video in a tweet: “Thanks to so many of you for sharing how YOU move! Now it’s the president and @VP’s turn.” And she included a link to the video.

The script is a bit corny. The video opens with the vice president asking Mr. Obama: “Mr. president, are you ready to move?”

Mr. Obama’s canned response: “Absolutely. Let’s do this thing. Let’s move.”

The two then jaunt off, wearing office gear — including ties — and scoot around the White House corridors. At one point, pets Bo and Sunny make an appearance, while a “Monday Night Football” remix plays softly in the background.

The video ends with some healthy water drinking.

“Just let Michelle know I did this,” Mr. Biden says.

“Same time next week,” they say.
