INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Students at nearly 30 schools across Indiana will get a taste of a pilot health and fitness program this spring that’s endorsed by Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck.
Luck joined Riley Hospital for Children executives this week in announcing the schools that will be part of the Change the Play pilot program for schoolchildren ages 5 to 14.
Students at those schools will be encouraged to improve their own physical activity levels over the next two months while increasing their knowledge of nutrition and good health behaviors.
Once those eight weekly challenges are complete, 20 students from each participating school district will be invited to Indianapolis for a celebration hosted by Luck and Riley hospital. Hundreds of children are expected to attend that April event.
