Two weeks after he welcomes Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the White House, President Obama will meet with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, the administration announced Thursday.
The March 17 meeting will focus on “progress in the Israeli-Palestinian negotiations,” the White House said.
Mr. Netanyahu is slated to meet with Mr. Obama on Monday as the administration continues to press for an elusive peace agreement between Israeli and Palestinian leaders.
The two sides resumed talks last summer.
