MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. (AP) - There is no quick verdict in the trial of a Detroit-area man charged with killing four women who met him through online escort ads.

A Macomb County jury is returning to the courthouse Friday after about two hours of deliberations Thursday.

James Brown is accused of killing the four women in pairs at his Sterling Heights home. Their bodies were discovered in cars in Detroit in 2011.

The victims met Brown through Backpage.com, which carries personal ads for people looking for sex. He’s admitted getting rid of the bodies but says he didn’t kill the women.

Defense attorney Jeff Cojocar has told jurors they can go ahead and convict Brown of arson and disinterment of bodies.

He says he’s “not going to play games.”
