OAK LAWN, Ill. (AP) - Authorities have released the names of four people who died in an apparent murder-suicide in the Chicago suburb of Oak Lawn.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports (https://bit.ly/1pxIm3k ) the victims were identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.

They were 36-year-old John Conta Jr., John Conta Sr., 68-year-old Janice Conta and 5-year-old Matthew Meier.

The Medical Examiner’s office says John Conta Sr. was in his 60s, but did not give a specific age.

Their bodies were discovered Wednesday after apparent shootings and a house fire.

The newspaper reported all four had gunshot wounds. They were related and lived in the home, but authorities didn’t provide further details.

Oak Lawn is about 13 miles from downtown Chicago.
