CHICAGO (AP) - Golden State Warriors forward David Lee is available to play against the Chicago Bulls after being hospitalized because of stomach flu.
Lee, averaging 19.1 points, was not in the starting lineup Wednesday night. He was, however, “close to 100 percent” after missing two games.
He said he spent about 36 hours in the hospital and had tests to rule out appendicitis. Lee started feeling ill when the Warriors visited Sacramento on Feb. 19, and it worsened before the home game against Houston the following day. He played in that one, missed a game against Brooklyn and did not make the trip to Detroit for Monday’s game, going to the hospital instead.
For Chicago, guard Jimmy Butler was back in the lineup after missing two games because of bruised ribs.
