MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - A union representing more than 900 workers at WVU Hospitals plans to go on strike March 8 if there’s no agreement on a new contract.

Media outlets report that Local 814 of the Laborers’ International Union of North America issued a strike notice on Tuesday.

The union says it issued the notice following a meeting with WVU Hospitals. The two sides have been negotiating a new three-year contract.

The union represents a broad range of jobs at WVU Hospitals.
