SEATTLE (AP) - King County court documents say that a Renton, Wash., man used his cellphone to shoot a close-up photo of a vehicle license plate shortly before he was fatally shot on Feb. 17.

The Seattle Times reports (https://is.gd/gLirnA ) the documents say that license plate belongs to Steven M. Marshall’s PT Cruiser. On Wednesday, county prosecutors charged Marshall with second-degree murder in the case.

Court papers say 27-year-old Ryan Prince photographed the license plate five minutes after he used his security code to deactivate an alarm system at the home he shared with two roommates. A roommate returned home several hours later and found Prince fatally shot.

The documents say broken Burberry brand blue frame eyeglasses found on the front porch also led detectives to Marshall.
