LONG BEACH, Calif. (AP) - Long Beach police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down a suspect who kidnapped a 53-year-old mentally impaired woman from a parking lot and sexually assaulted her.

The Los Angeles Times reports (https://lat.ms/1frCm9A ) investigators have released surveillance video from a Greyhound bus station where the incident occurred in the early morning hours of Jan. 14.

The recording shows a man in dark pants and a light-colored hooded sweater guiding the woman to his car.

Authorities say the woman was dropped off nearby about 45 minutes later. She reported the assault to police.

The suspect is described as a 30-year-old black male or Latino, 5 feet 9 to 5 feet 11, and about 200 pounds.

Police described the vehicle as a dark-colored, mid-sized four-door sedan, possibly a mid-to-late 1990s Nissan Maxima.
