Hezbollah said Wednesday that Israeli’s military carried out an airstrike in Lebanon near the Syrian border that caused substantial damage to its positions.
No casualties were reported, The Associated Press reported.
Hezbollah also vowed revenge and said it would strike back at an “appropriate time and place,” AP reported.
Lebanon press had reported earlier this week that the strike occurred on Monday, but Israel refused to confirm. If true, this would be the first targeted airstrike conducted by Israel on Lebanese grounds since the conflict in Syria began about three years ago.
