DENVER (AP) - The FBI says it recovered an undisclosed amount of cash stolen from a bank last month in what authorities said might be the biggest bank robbery in Colorado history.
The FBI said Wednesday the money was given to Denver attorney Michael Pellow, who turned it over to the agency. The FBI says Pellow declined to reveal who gave him the money.
Pellow didn’t immediately return a phone message.
The FBI hasn’t said how much money was taken in the Jan. 21 robbery at a Wells Fargo bank in the Denver suburb of Westminster. The agency says it’s believed to be the most in state history.
The FBI dubbed the two suspects the “Trash Talk Bandits” for their verbal abuse. The agency says they put gun barrels against bank employees’ heads.
