WATERTOWN, S.D. (AP) - A company that provides employee screening, identification and other information services is closing its Watertown operation.

Radio stations KXLG and KWAT report that about 120 people employed by Verifications will lose their jobs.

First Advantage Corporation Senior Vice President for Marketing and Communications Kerri Lorch says the company is giving 6 months notice of the closure so employees can plan. It is also providing severance packages and placement assistance to employees.

The company closed branches in Aberdeen and Mitchell in 2012.

Watertown Mayor Steve Thorson says employees were made aware of the decision late Monday morning.
